Information from Suffolk Highways: 

A143 Ixworth Road, Great Barton & A143 Bury Road, Pakenham– Road Resurfacing - June 2018

We will be carrying out road resurfacing works along the following locations:- A143 Ixworth Road, Great Barton – from the junction with Brand Road for a distance of 400 metres west bound A143 Bury Road, Pakenham - from the junction with Brand Road to a point 100m east bound

This is necessary to stop further deterioration and improve the road surface. The work is planned to be carried out between 5 June and 11 June 2018 and will be carried out overnight between 7pm and 5am, excluding the weekend. The times and dates of works may change depending on the weather conditions. If they do change, we will let you know by updating the information signs on site. The road will be temporarily closed to through traffic for the duration of the works Pedestrian access to properties and businesses will be available.

However vehicular access may be restricted even where off road parking is available. During the working times above, access will be controlled by staff on site. Please speak to one of our staff who will provide access as soon as it is safe to do so.

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. During the period of the closure, traffic will be diverted via A143, A1088, A1066, A11, A134 and vice versa On street parking will be restricted to allow the resurfacing to be carried out unobstructed.

These temporary traffic management measures are required to allow the works to be carried out safely and in accordance with current health and safety guidelines.
