Mrs

Maggie Dunn, Mrs

I was born in Suffolk and spent my childhood in Felixstowe, I am the youngest of 4 all girls and had a countryside upbringing as we lived on the edge of the town. When I left school I went to college in Bingley near Bradford for 3 years.

I then joined the Suffolk Constabulary as a Police Office and served for 30 years, during this time I met my husband Andy, who was a detective and we were married in 1979. During my time in the Police I worked in the western side of the county in various departments dealing with victims and also working within schools .

On retiring from the Police I worked for the Home Office and then for the Department for Work and Pensions in local job centres and ended up as a fraud and compliance investigator.

I joined the Parish Council in 2008 and became Chair in 2018. We love living in Great Barton and wanted to protect and look after our village.

We have two rescue dogs Lulu and Buddie. Since retirement I have also taken on the role of school governor and continue to sit as a trustee for the village hall.
