Welcome back to Dear Neighbour, our newsletter that keeps you updated on West Suffolk Operational Hub, Bury St Edmunds.

Over the last period we have continued to make positive progress. External works are still the main focus of the project with external foul and storm water installations, service duct and water installation, road construction and asphalting works. Other buildings are now progressing with external cladding, internal floor slab construction and mechanical & electrical works.

The maintenance and office building is having the internal walls constructed along with the 2nd fix mechanical and electrical works being commenced. Plastering to the walls will follow which will release areas for follow on trades such as painters, carpenters and screeding.

Fornham Road - widening works (278) - As part of the project requirements we will need to widen Fornham Road. These works will commence on Monday 11th March and will last for approximately 12 weeks and will be managed by temporary traffic lights which will reduce this road to one lane. Towards the end of the works the road will need to be completely closed for approximately 3 days. This will enable us to complete the final surface course and white lining in readiness for re-opening the road. During the road closure a diversion signs will be in place. Please be sure to keep an eye out for signage & information around the area, and we will of course keep you updated on the progress of these works. If you have any concerns then please get in contact with us
