Morgan Sindall have advised the Parish Council inĀ  advance of essential works to Barton Hill in order to facilitate the construction of the West Suffolk Operational Hub:

Barton Hill will be closed between Monday 12th November 2018 to Tuesday 20th November 2018 & Monday 26th November to Friday 21st December 2018 to install a new foul water drainage main as part of the schemes requirements. The works have been phased to ensure access can be granted to facilitate the Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre.

Access throughout these works will be maintained for residents including use of the paths for pedestrians (including buggie/pram users), cyclists and wheelchair users. Where works are required to the entrance of properties, our contractor, J L Knight Roadworks Ltd will notify the occupier 24hours prior to commencing works and will ensure that access can be maintained during times of need.

Diversions will be in place for non-residents in order to minimise disruption to the affected area and we will do our upmost best to ensure that disruption to all occupiers affected, is kept to a minimum.

The works will be carried out by our groundworks contractor (JL Knight Roadworks Ltd) during the hours of 0800 to 1800 Monday to Friday; with the potential of Saturday working 0830 to 1330 in accordance with the planning permission for the scheme. In the event of any delays to the dates mentioned above, information on the delay and knock on effects will be clearly communicated. We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during these essential works. If you have any questions or comments about the scheme, please feel free to contact myself (07779 447424) or my colleague Neil Perryman (07976 911499
