St Edmundsbury Borough Council is currently consulting on the declaration of an area of Air Quality Management for a short stretch of the A143 by the Post Office in Gt Barton.  For further information click here.  Please complete the on-line consultation which will only take a few minutes. This finishes on 3/3/2017.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL PROGRAMME OF WORKS

AVIAN FLU OUTBREAK IN SUFFOLK

An initial 10km Temporary Control Zone has been announced around a poultry premises near Redgrave, Suffolk, following investigation into a suspected case of Avian Influenza.  The affected premises are estimated to contain approximately 23,000 birds. A number have died and it has been decided to humanely cull the remaining birds. Further investigations continue into the nature of the virus detected and to establish the possible source of the infection. Click here for more information - February 2017.
